Govt First Grade College for Women Puttur was sanctioned by the govt of karnataka vide G.O-ED123 Mahithi 2013,Bangalore Dated:31-08-2013 and was started from 2014-15 in the space provided by the D.K.Z.P model higher primary school Nelikatte, Puttur from the academic year 2015-16, the college is shifted to the old taluk office  Puttur.
